The Ruhr Graduate School in Economics (RGS Econ) is a center for research and higher education in Economics. It combines the expertise of three economics departments at the universities in the Ruhr Area (Bochum, Dortmund, and Duisburg-Essen) with that of the RWI – Leibniz Institute for Economic Research, one of Germany‘s leading economic research institutes. Graduate students participate in a strctured PhD programme according to the highest international standards. In addition to core courses, RGS Econ organizes numerous events and workshops for early career researchers and to foster internal and external research networks.
